Grateful Dead Parking lot scene My name is Rory Levy and I was born in Toronto Ontario, on October 7 1969. I discovered the Grateful Dead for the first time in 1986. Some friends of mine went to Philadelphia to see some Grateful Dead concerts. Two of my friends and myself hopped in my friend's father's car and we went on our first Grateful Dead road trip. We arrived at the parking lot to discover there was another world called Deadhead Country. We were very moved by what we discovered. The vast amount of people hanging out in the parking lot getting ready for the Grateful Dead experience was a real trip. We walked around with our fingers in the air and we met lots of great free spirited people. In our search of the Grateful Dead World we all found tickets for the show. The Grateful Dead openned up the night with the song Shakedown Street. After that one song I understood what the Grateful Dead was all about and I was hooked. The rest of the concert was Awesome.
